Hands down, the best part about shooting births is hearing directly from clients how transformative it is when they see their photos.
Sometimes birth is a lot. Sometimes there's healing that needs to happen (physical and emotional). Your birth photos and video will go a long way in helping you process everything that needs processing.

Take a shower and a nap and then make sure I'm there when your parents and kids come to meet baby.
Fresh 48 sessions can be scheduled between 12-48 hours after delivery as an addition to your birth coverage or on their own.

Can we include family meeting the baby?
If the timing works out, then I would love to get those shots for you. Hospital and birth center births don't typically allow for enough time after delivery for siblings or other family and friends to come while I'm still there. You can always add on a Fresh 48 session and I will come back 12-48 hours later to get those first meetings.
What if photographers aren't allowed?
This is a conversation you have to have with your care provider before you book with me. If you find out during labor that your hospital does not allow photographers, I will shoot what I'm able to shoot, but I can't be held responsible for not being able to capture the entire birth story.
What if you miss the birth?
It's a question no one wants to have to consider, right? If I miss the birth and it's my fault, I refund all of your money, including your retainer. If I miss the birth because you did not call me soon enough, then your fee can be applied to a Fresh48 or newborn session. We'll discuss all of this at length when you book!
Will my images be posted online?
If you sign the optional Model Release, then I will likely post some of your images on my website and social media. If I think an image might make you uncomfortable if posted publicly, I will ask for specific permission first. Your comfort and privacy is my main concern.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! If spreading out payments is the only way that you can afford birth photography, then I would love to work out a payment plan so you can have this once in a lifetime event documented.
