Memories In Motion: October 2016 – Online Photography Mentoring Program

November 2, 2016

Last month I picked up my camera, switched the dial from shooting photos to shooting video and finally set out to learn how to capture a new dimension of our daily lives.

I’ve only been shooting video for a month, but I. Am. Addicted.

I will never stop taking still photographs, but it’s so nice to be able to capture an entire moment instead of always having to choose which split seconds are more important than the rest. With video I can catch them all.

As an exercise in technical practice and creativity, I committed to shooting at least one video clip each day in October. I’m still working my way through my 366 for this year in photographs, so most days I tried to shoot video of those same moments. It allowed me to see when and why video is more powerful or more appropriate than stills. Spoiler alert: there’s a time and a place for both.

If you like following along with my 366 project, then I think you’ll enjoy this video. Be sure to come back next month to see what I’ve created for November. Enjoy!
