10 on 10 – December 2018

November is my favorite month of the year. It all started when I was born… My birthday is the 27th, my dad’s is the 23rd, my niece’s is the 20th, there’s Thanksgiving and Black Friday (which to me always meant being able to go shopping for my birthday present), there’s pumpkin pie and turkey and my Oma’s stuffing. Seven years ago, I gave birth to my oldest son on the 28th of November, giving me one more reason to love the month.

This year was a weird year for November since we moved to Guam at the beginning of the month. We don’t really have friends here yet, we don’t have our household goods yet and it feels like we’re still waiting to fully settle in, so our birthdays were super low key. I didn’t take many pictures on either of our birthdays, but I took just enough to remember what turning 7 looked like for Silas.
