There’s a meme that’s floated around for a few years now about how January seems to go on forever and February is gone in a flash. It’s been floating around for so long because it’s accurate. I have no idea where February went, despite it being one day longer this year, but here we are in March already. My husband and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary (and when I say celebrated, I mean we worked and took care of kids). It wasn’t our best, but honestly, it wasn’t our worst either. We were totally happy just eating a delicious dinner at home and vegging out with some movies. This is married life, kids.
We also spent a good portion of the month baby proofing every corner of the house because Yara decided it’d be cool to start crawling. And she’s fast. She also pulls herself up to stand and cruises along the furniture (albeit still pretty wobbly). Wanna start taking bets for when she’ll be walking?
And the boys have been hard at work on their attitudes. They swing wildly between Wild Animal and Sweet Baby Angel. They’ll take turns throwing fits and fighting with each other and then they’ll ask to cuddle with us or fall asleep together. But really, as long as they don’t wake up Yara from her nap after I just put her down, I’m picking my battles very sparingly these days.
