Pizza Night – Puyallup Documentary Family Photography

One of the best parts of my job is seeing the same families over and over and watching them grow. I first met Rebekah a year ago when she was in labor with her youngest and only son. His was the first birth I photographed and it was quite an amazing experience! A few months later, I photographed their big family Christmas party. It reminded me so much of the holiday parties my whole family had when I was growing up and it made me so happy that they would all have such a special tradition photographed. Finally, I let Rebekah know that we were going to be moving soon and she made sure to book one last session. This time it would be during a family pizza night, a frequent occasion in their house. After having photographed two special occasions, I was excited to do something that would remind them of their everyday. It’s these types of sessions that really show how special the normal parts of your day are. They are the photographs that end up meaning just as much as the ones from those once-in-a-lifetime events.
